German Post in Turkey - The rarest arrival postmark of the German post in the Turkey: Bavaria 1 Kr. pale green, 3 Kr. pale carmine and 6 Kr. bright ochre-brown, all three with the better watermark “X”, being a three color franking on complete folded letter with contents, stamped with tenuous single circle postmark “Nuremberg III. 24 August” (1871) to Constantinopel / Turkey. Verso the extremely scarce arrival postmark “German Empire post office 1 / 9 no. 1”, which only in the August / September 1871 to the Use came. According to handbook Dr. Steuer are only three covers with this arrival postmark recorded.
