The highlights of the coin auction include rarities from China, prize Habsburg specimens and exceptional gold coins from the early modern period onwards. Among the high-quality range of Chinese philately on offer is one of the limited “silver panda” coins, of which only 99 were minted in 1994. A genuine unique specimen is a “Queen Emma” chain of 5 German New Guinea marks from 1894. The piece of jewellery, which consists of twelve coins plus two further extension links, comes from the estate of major landowner Emma Forsayth-Coe. Bidding is due to start at €13,000.
