GERMANY, 1937 Hindenburg Crash Cover, cover posted on board with Germany #C48, C57 tied by 5.5.1937 “On Board” postmark, extensive charring along the edges and the interior destroying the recipient’s name and address, in a protective cellophane wrapper, a choice example of mail recovered from this famous disaster; accompanied by 140x90mm piece of fabric from the bow of the “Hindenburg” signed on back by some members of the ground crew at Lakehurst.
