Romania 1868: 18 bani bright red, two singles and a horizontal pair (Types 3, 7, 8-5), all used on triple weight registered cover to Turnu Magurelle cancelled by BUCURESTI datestamps (April 30) in black (Kiraic fig. 423), framed RECOMANDAT handstamp at left. The cover with some tears and a possibility of a further 18 bani missing on reverse (which would make this a quadruple rate cover) but still showing Giurgiu transit in blue and T. Magurelle arrival cds (May 4) in black. Despite imperfections, a remarkable and rare franking. Signed Odor, Pascanu.
