UNIQUE CONTROL PRINTING IN COMPLETE SHEETS Special printing from 1896 carried out for the purposes of control of the quality of the printing plates in service, comprising 11 “Sage” values in complete sheets of 150 each of 6 panes of 25: the 1c, 2c, 3c grey, 4c, 5c green, 10c, 15c blue with grid (the first pane of the 15c has an ink drawn grid), 20c brick on green, 25c black on pink, 40c and 50c values. sometimes with manuscript date at the bottom of the sheet, and totalling 1650 stamps in all, very fine and extremely rare.
