Marit.mo” oval h.s. in brown (Webb type 4) and matching handstruck “80” (reis), extremely fine, the finest strike of this very rare handstamp we aware of, as well as a very early example. Ex H.S. Viegas. Estimate HK$ 150,000 - 200,000 THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY TWELVE EXAMPLES OF THIS HANDSTAMP RECORDED, THREE OF WHICH ARE IN THE POSTAL MUSEUM IN MACAU. We record the following examples of this elusive handstamp :- 1826 (31 May) entire from Dilly (Timor) to Portugal, carried to Macao, where posted and handstamp applied with handstruck “80”.
