Canada WWI “Killed in Action”, Tied on cover to London by Victoria, B.C. CDS dated Aug. 6, 1917, addressed to Mortimer Appleby, 13th Platoon, D Company, 14th Battalion, Canadian Forces in c/o Army Post Office, this letter never made it to the recipient, the cover is noted at the T.L. “Killed in action” and handstamped in red “Captain Quartermaster 47th Battalion C.E.F”, there is a CDS on the back “Dead Letter Branch, Ottawa-Canada” dated Oct. 23, 1917, the cover has some edge wear, Very Fine and quite interesting and certainly very scarce, (ENV 200-300) Dealer Aldrich Auction Auction Starting Price: 50.00 US$
