Baden Railway mail letter with franking with different colours: 1 Kr. with 3 Kr. black / green, exemplary fresh 4-Kr. Franking on flawless, blue cover to Furtwangen, each stamp with pricked clear ring cancel “164” of the railway postoffice provided, additional rectangle cancel with two lines “E. B. 26. May” (1858) . Mixed franking with different colours on railway mail letters with unperforated stamps are all large Baden rarities. Comp. Baden-Hb. Ribbon III (“the cancellations of the Grand Duchy Baden”), where a similar cover with a mixed franking in colour pictured is, whereby in this work only two color pages occur, as for the rarity of a such covers punctuates.
