Peru 1858: ½ peso yellow-buff, a fine four margined example, Type 4 on the Transfer block, used on second page of February 1859 entire letter to Paris, tied by dotted ‘1-LIMA-3’ handstamp in black. Reverse with British P.O. 'Callao’ datestamp in black and London transit cds in red (April 5). Struck there with Anglo-French Accountancy marking GB / 2F 87½c. in black with Calais transit cds alongside; charged '24’ décimes handstruck on arrival.
