Covers. 1898 (5 Sept.) envelope registered to England bearing I.C.P. 2c. pair in combination with C.I.P. 1c. pair, 4c. and 10c. tied by Customs Tientsin c.d.s. with Customs removed, struck in blue, the 10c. is additionally tied by large handstruck “R” in red; with France “Chine” 50c. tied by “shang-hai” c.d.s. and with London registered oval in red (27.10), the reverse with Shanghai Local Post c.d.s.
