Hong Kong. 1938-52 Issue. Issued Stamps. 8c. red-brown marginal vertical pair, variety imperforate, light gum toning and some minor stains, mainly affecting the reverse, the lower stamp with light vertical crease. One of the major rarities of Hong Kong philately. S.G. 144a, £30,000. Photo Note: One imperforate sheet was issued at Sai Ying Pun Branch Office in December 1946. Most were used as singles on letters to China. A mint vertical strip of five was however bought and divided into a strip of three and a pair (this lot).
