Cayman Islands. Covers and Cancellations. Type numbers in this section are taken from “The Postal History of the Cayman Islands” by Giraldi and McCann. Georgetown - Type 4. 1908 (6 July) envelope registered to Coventry and re-addressed to Liverpool, bearing 1907 (Mar.) 1d. pair, 2½d. pair and 6d., 1907 (Aug.) “One /Halfpenny” on 1d. and 1908 ¼d., all tied by “george town/grand cayman” c.d.s., showing “R” in oval, Mobile and New York Exchange (crossed through) registration labels and, on reverse, Mobile (21.7), New York (23.7) and arrival (3.8) datestamps.
