Hungary #768, 1946 200bil P Blackish green (45x), a handsome and scarce registered (hyper) inflation period cover bearing 45 200billion P stamps (21 on the front and 24 on the reverse), tied by “Gyorszentmarton/46 VII 9” c.d.s., posted to Zire and backstamped the next day, very fine; this desirable and scarce cover is from the 24th rate period (July 8-11), the total postal cost was 300,000 billion P for postal fee and registration, 291,000 billion P was paid in cash and 9,000 billion P in stamps; a beautiful illustration of the problems of sending a normal letter in these periods of extreme inflation after the war (Phil. Hung. #972). (Estimate 500 - 750 US$)
