Papua: 1888 cover to England with Queensland 4d yellow (creased before being affixed) tied by a superb strike of the scarce ‘N.G’ obliterator (Lee #2; rated D) & very fine strike of the rare 'GRANVILLE/SP2-/88/BNG’ cds (Lee #4; rated F - the second day slug omitted) at centre-left, 'COOKTOWN/SP25/88/QUEENSLAND’ transit & 'KINGSTON-ON- THAMES/NO27/88’ arrival b/s, minor soiling & a small repaired tear at the top well clear of the stamp and markings.
