Spain CULLERA/1-ENE-1850/VALENCIA datestamps in red of First Day of Issue. This letter was exhibited in the Alfageme and Cervera collections and for decades has been considered one of the most important pieces of the 6 cuartos extant. However, in 1985 expert F. Graus discovered that the ´Laúd Pilar´ had in fact left Cullera on February 1st, and thus the January ´ENE´ in the cancellation was an error of date rather than a First Day of Issue cancellation. https://ift.tt/2O7j7tT
