Austrian Levant Sulina 1856 (Jan 13): Entire letter from Sulina to the Theologo Brothers in Galatz, struck with oval AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / SULINA in green (unrecorded by Tchilinghirian or Blistyar) with arrival docketed the next day in Galatz. Despite the blurred appearance this is beleived to be one of just two known covers showing the Agency seal-an extremely important entire as Sulina only acquired Post Office status two years later in 1858 and showing the preliminary activity of the Agency prior to that date.
